Default Tire question

I am going to have four Yokohoma tires (TRZs) installed on my 99 Accord EX next week. Does anyone have any experience with Yokhomas? I have heard that they are really good. I read reviews on tirerack, and they have a great tread life (80,000 miles), and they have good light snow traction as well! Also, I am going to have it dynamically balanced as the manual says it should.

Most likely that is due to prevent any kind of shimmy or vibration at higher speeds.

Default RE: Tire question

I have been running Yokohama tires on my 90 Accord (an Avid version that is no longer made) and I had Yokohama Avid Touring tires on our 95 Odyssey (traded for 2005 Odyssey Touring with PAX tires) and 00 Sienna (just replaced the Yokohama's with Pirelli). My experience and opinion is mixed. I have had three tires with belt separation on the Avid Touring. Mileage life is ok and handling is ok. I just ordered the new Goodyear Responsedge tires for my Accord and should have them by next weekend. The Avid tires on the Accord have about 28K on them and the road noise has become quite pronounced. To say the least, I am ready for a change to a different tire brand. Like they say...your mileage and experience will vary. Good luck!

Thanks, they are the avid trzs. From what I read on tirerack, they are good tires. Also, good on wet traction. The best tires were the original Michelins (I believe MXV energy), and these Dunlop Sport A plus 2 wore down quickly well relatively speaking at least. I will be happy with the treadlife, as I do mostly highway driving, which should help.

Thanks, once again for your input.
