so i have a 225 tire on my coupe right now, and im thinkin i want to go bigger. I got a pretty good deal on a 235at a local tireshop, cheaper than the 225 i have now,and its not much of a difference in sizeso i think im going to do it. What do you guys think?

Wow, you need to lower that ride buddy.

 

He has 19s on there, which usually have a 8.5 in.(216mm). The 225 tire you have on there now is 8.9" wide and a 235 will be 9.25" wide. The best rule of the thumb is to take the wheel width and add/subtract 10mm to get your rangeof tire widths that will fit fine.

i wouldnt go any bigger then what you have there or else you will be riding too high and your car will look really bad. trust me i have seen this before

Drop that thing first. I think you'll find you already have a rubbing problem.

 

FYI when I increased my tire width my handling got worse. Mine was stock rims.
