Hey guys

Winter is coming and I am trying to get some winter tires for my 07 Accord SE V6 Sedan. However, many places do not carry the P215/50R/17 tire size on stock and require special order. I got a quote from several places including big box stores and they said each tire would be around $190.00 each + steel rim, balance, etc (Michelin X-Ice). However, one dude was honest enough to tell me that it is possible to use a 16" tire (Maybe P205/55R/16) and still have the speedo working with regular fuel consumption.

Does anyone know if using a 16" will work in place for a 17"? I do not really want to shell out over $ 1000.00 for a set of tires...

I can't tell you off the top of my head if it will interchange but it sounds about right (possibly). Try 1010tires.com or tirerack.com they have wheel size calculators that will tell you what fits

 

16s will work, if you get the right size. i agree with tirerack
