1978 Mid-Engineering (Okemos, MI) Kelmark. Mild steel tube frame; 'glas body. 355 inch small-block Chevy; Corvair transaxle. No heat, no air, no radio.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Custom 180° headers, among others
Suspension Modifications:
BadBrake front conversion from AirKewld, "C"-ed rear control arms for tire clearance; converted to coilovers
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Nascar wheels by Diamond wheels; rear 17x13 custom-built for the car. Goodyear Eagles with the lettering painted in with yellow model paint
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Rear body section molded to single piece; tilt. Front body section cut and tilt. Heat extractor molded into hood like an early GT-40
Future Modifications:
My own drivetrain design, using a stroked Cadillac 500, a reversed Eldorado transaxle, transmission only, and a short driveshaft to a radically offset Winters Quick-Change rear axle. Read more »
