Engine: 2.2 L F22A I4 SOHC (EX-R,And SE models have 15 extra hp due to the twin outlet muffler, a revised air intake tract( The Olny probblem i personaly see with this is that a K&n or any after marker uncased air filter will not proform the same), a revised camshaft and a revised intake manifold using IAB butterfly valves ( A butterfly Valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow) which open at 4600 rpm to increase air intake breathing at high rpm thats why some accords with f22a6`s scream so lound after 5000RPM, this also will cause a whistle in the intake manifold due to the increased amount of air it requires. thats why an aftermarket k&n intake system will make a dramatic differance becuase they couldnt change the intake sytem on a whole production line just because a select few accords have a diffrent setup , with your stalk intake system it was not designed for the new butterfly valves and intake manifold . It was similar in design to the 92-96 Prelude Si and VTEC models, Thats another reason (some not all) h22`s make a whistling sound in the throttle body when the car is accelerating.
