I drove the pin out with a 1/8" pin punch cradling the gear in a notch cut in a 2X4 held in a vise. It is tight!  5/32" punch with a heavy hammer would work better than what I used.
Do not pull or turn the shaft bushing like I did!

oil seal is accessible...prying at 3 locations around the top lifted the seal

2 screws hold the roller bearing in place.The distributor shaft with bearing easily comes out.

I bought the new seal from Red's Auto Rehab on Ebay for $10 delivered (o-ring included). It fit perfectly. 
The bearing was fine (I didn't have a replacement,anyhow.) But, I did note the markings ...JAPAN NSK 6000DU.
