Bought new to replace a slightly modified 1998 Honda Prelude with 290,000 trouble free miles. As there was no replacement for the Prelude in 2008 (stopped production in 2001), I opted for the larger and much more luxurious Accord Coupe EX-L V-6 MT with Navigation. I figure this was the "first" HFP model as when I bought the car, it was outfitted with everything the 2012 HFP model had (and more) except for the upgraded sport suspension which was not even offered at the time.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
K & N Cold Air Intake, P2R Throttle Body Spacer and Thermal Gaskets, Jet MAF/MAP Sensor upgrade, Jet V-Force Plus Power Performance Module, Jet ECU/PCM re-flash, Greddy Spectrum Elite (SE) Cat-back exhaust system, RV6 Hi-Flow Pre-cat manifolds (ceramic coated) and J-pipe (deletes rear cat), Mugen Oil Filler Cap
Suspension Modifications:
Upgraded to HFP factory sport suspension, 2010 Acura TLX 31mm front and progress 22mm rear sway bars, bushings, etc.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
19" Honda HFP wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/40 ZR19 summer tires, EBC Sport Brake Rotors (vented, cross-drilled and slotted), EBC Red Stuff pads, "Brembo Red" powder-coated brake calipers, Honda Logo valve stem covers
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Factory aero kit (front lip and rear spoilers, side spoilers), "Black Ice" mesh grille, "HFP" and "Accord Coupe" Emblems, HID Low Beam Projector Headlights, MOMO Carbon Fiber/Leather Gear Shit knob and boot, Blue Ambient Footwell Lighting, Infinity speaker system, 5-channel and sub amps, JL 12" Sub/Enclosure, HFP Interior Logo Emblem, custom berbur carpet serged foot mats with Accord Coupe logos
