Believe it or not I was on these forums alot. I cam abord around December of last year with my first car a 1995 accord. I didnt post alot because I found most of the information already posted here. Just wanted to say ill miss these forums and they were alot of help. Oh and im leaving because my accord got totaled (friend rear ended me, did $4027.99 in damages) and I just bought a 2003 Lancer ES for $5250 (dunno why they sold so cheap..clean title and no major problems). Below is a picture of my totaled accord and one of my new car. Thanks guys for the awesome forums.

There probably wasn't really 4k in damage. there was probably about 2k or so. But the salvage value was probably about 1500 or so, making it easier to just total the car than to worry about supplemental damages that could be discovered once the shop takes the bumper & trunk off and starts the repairs. Many insurance companies will total older cars just because it is easier than repairing them.

Thanks WheelBrokerAng for those forums, been looking around for a new site.
Yea there really was 4k in damages. It was taken to the shop before the car was even reported as being wrecked.
And Velo thanks for trying to fit me in your sig =D.
Hope to see you guys at the other forums!

The only way there is actually 4k in damage to that car is if there is much more I cannot see. i.e. frame damage, needs new trunk, dented in trunk floor, etc.. Or if the shop was charging a ridiculous amount for labor or overcharging for the parts. Oh well....
Congrats on the Lancer and we hate to see you go! Good luck!
