Yeah, I might do a 2nd application this weekend... see if it shines even more...

I do have to say though, it seems like the silver doesn''''t really reflect too much more; or it''''s not as visible... but I still notice a difference.

It will increase the look slightly but the main reason for the second coat is to assure full coverage and add another layer of protection. Three coats is about max in achieving the best look. You won''t need to use near as much product on the second application.

what would be the down side to applying the second coat in direct sunlight? assuming i''d limit the spraying to apply it before it drieds.

It depends on the outside temp and the color of the car. A mild day and a light colored car is no worries. A black car in 95 degree sunlight will be hotter than the ambient temperature. The product would flash so quickly that it would be a smeary mess.

It might just be me, but I can''t tell the difference from the pictures between washing/drying, and washing/drying/wet paint. I mean, I can tell the difference between the dirty car, and the WP''d car on the website''s video, but other than that, I couldn''t tell the difference between the WP, and the ICE polish I picked up the other day.

Ordered my friend a combo pack for his birthday and I made sure to mention Rick from Texas.  Will post pics up as soon as project is completed.  I am stoked.

Has anyone applied wp with a pc and how well did it work?

Exceptional look as a matter of fact. Start with a clean dry surface. Using a white finishing pad spread the product on speed 3 (put WP on the surface and the pad) then go to speed 6 for a short time until WP almost disappears. If you go to 6 and it slings product slow down to 3 and work it some more. It may take a panel or two to get the knack for it. You can feel when you have worked it enough. Wipe it down with a microfiber towel and proceed. It is called burnishing the finish and the look will knock your tallywacker in the dirt!

Thank you RTexasF.  I had a feeling you''d answer .  By the way, will wp do any correction if a cutting pad is used?
RTexasF
7/28/2008 5:41:02 AM
Yes and no. It will do correction with a rotary and a wool pad. In all honesty I haven''t tried it with a PC or Cyclo. It''s worth a try with an orange or yellow pad for light correction.

Thanks for your time.  I will do the white pad and pc this week.  If I give the orange pad a shot on my girlfriends vehicle I''ll let you know how it went.

They do make wool pads for the PC and I have some. I''''''''ve only used them as backing for a microfiber or terrycloth bonnet thus far. If I''''''''ve got heavy correcting I break out the Cyclo and an abrasive polish.

You are welcome. Keep the pressure light on the PC, you want as much rotation as possible when burnishing. Smaller pads work even better allowing more rotation.

I have some 4" lake country on order. Expect them tomorrow or Wednesday.  I''ll try them.  Thanks again for the advice.

1st pic may seem spotty, but thats because of trees and light weirdness.  2nd pic is my fav.  Bad res phone camera...  On 3rd pick, you can tell passenger headlight (used WP) is a bit clearer.  At night, I notice better, brighter light.

WP is amazing.  Get it now.

So yeah. I tried this product, and it''s pretty sweet. How well does it protect, though? Should I put wax on top of it or anything?
