Default My 1999 EX wont turn over or crank

I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX automatic. I was driving it all day but after filling up it wouldn't start. I can turn the key to the on position and everything lights up but when I try to crank it there is just one click and then nothing. I checked the battery and charged it and it is able to hold a charge. Do I have a bad starter or alternator or am I way off?

Thanks

The one click sounds like a starter problem. You can have an assistant hold the key in the start position. Have the hood open and tap on the starter with the handle of a screwdriver with light to medium force. If the car starts up, then you pretty much verified the starter (specifically the solenoid) is worn out.

This does not sound like an alternator problem.

Thanks for the help. I tried the tappy tap technique on the soleniod but no luck. So after checking all the hard lines leading to the starter and seeing everything was looking good and was connected, I replaced the starter and that did the trick.
