Question Scraping Noise

I have a 2010 EX-L V6 Accord. Just recently I noticed a scraping noise coming from the wheels/brakes. This occurs even I am ON or OFF my brakes. Random scraping noise, varies on speed, sometimes when I brake, sometimes when I am about to brake.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

Need advise please.

How many miles are on the car? Most of the earlier 8th generation Accords' rear brake pads wear out fast. Honda issued new brakes pads (different pad compound) with v-springs and instructions to check the caliper slide pins and possibly switch the upper and lower slide pins.

When the brake pads wear down to the wear indicator, you can get the noise even if you are on the brakes or not.

Thank you very much for the info!
Currently i have around 32k miles on it.
Besides the pads, is this covered by warranty?

On the last report I had from the dealer that did my oil change, they indicated 3.4mm on rears and 6.3 on fronts. and that was just 2000 miles ago.

A class action lawsuit against Honda resulted in a settlement; however, that settlement period is over. Most people got partial reimbursement for cost related to having to change to pads. Only a few got full reimbursement. Some people were not charged at dealerships during the settlement period.

The pad wear was not considered a warranty item over certain mileage, as determined on a case to case basis at each dealership (it varied among dealerships). Honda will not cover the brake pads at the mileage you have right now.

The rear pads wore fast even if you don't drive and brake aggressively. It is very possible the inner brake pad is worn on your car.

dj.... I had issues with my brakes since I bought my accord new in 2010. Excessixe grunting, scraping, etc. I got the run around from honda with their generic "normal operating condition" statement. Last week I bought a set of slotted and drilled rotors with pads on eBay. MAGIC! All noises are gone and the rotors look bad ***! Just a thought if you'd like to give it a shot.
