Default 91 only starts in 2nd gear-no ignition voltage to starter

I appreciate any and all expertiese. I have a 91 accord wagon 5 spd. It will only start in 2nd gear. Im not getting ignition voltage to starter. Does any have wiring diagrams and most importantly what is the problem? I have had coolant leaking from hose below intake air at one of the small hoses connected to t-stat. It is fixed. And I did try a 4 gauge wire for battery ground recently. It has been swapped back to o.e.m. Ive checked the two switches on clutch under dash. both ok. what next? this is my only transportation..

With a manual transmission car, the gear you are in does not matter for the starter. You have to push down on the clutch before turning the key.

You unplug the lower switch on the clutch pedal, and jump the electrical connector using a piece of wire or a thin paperclip. Make sure you are still pushing in the clutch, so you don't start the car while in gear. I think the lower one is the starter switch.

Also, do you have a volt meter?
