SRS reset didnt work - light still on - 97 accord
I followed the steps using http://tor.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pub...096S23316A.pdf and the light blinked twice at the end like it says it would when its complete and erased but then the light comes right back on. What else can i do other then taking the bulb out

You're in luck...the 97 models uses the Service Check Connector for the SRS code.
Jumper the BLUE 2 pin connector located behind/under the glove box.
Turn on the key and watch for the SRS light to flash.
the light will flash the 'main' code pause and then 'sub' code.
Example; long flash, long flash, pause, short flash. That is a code 2-1

The diagnostic procedure is a bit detailed to type out. The Online Manuals thread in the DIY section has links with sites that have a 94 shop manual. That manual is almost identical to the 97 accord.
The diagnostics are a bit involved. If you don't feel comfortable doing the procedure, you should take it to a dealership to get diagnosed.

Have you had problems with cruise control or horn not working?
You will need the procedure from the manual to check this.
BE SURE TO DIS-CONNECT THE BATTERY before working on that SRS system
