My car is doing the same thing with a little over 60,000 miles and Honda believes I need a wiring harness and it costs $2,000.00 for the repair. I think they are trying to jerk me around. Definitely going somewhere else to get a second opinion.

After lots of timeand effort, my mechanic determined it was the module for the traction control. He disconnected it and it never happened again. I could have replaced it from Honda for $600.00 or gotten used one from ebay for like $150.00 never did.

Car was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. Now I have an "09 EXL 4cyl which I hate, it rides like a brick.

Quick update:

I did replace the ignition switch right after my initial post. I can say that the problem has never experienced the problem since. Currently sitting at 314000 miles and counting!!
