What did you do to let the tension off?

Do a search for Valve springs Clatter posted by myaccord93. It should help.

i would remove the valve cover, make sure that rocker arm are properly over the valves,,if all is ok,, chk the valve adjustment

if when you put it together and you installed it so the rocker arm was not properly over the valve and you ran the car,,could bent a valve ...But first things first, chk over your work , make sure akk is put back on properly and everything is tight

ok i put the motor at top dead center for cyl. #1 and i tightened the rocker arm assembly down the correct way and then i check and adjusted the valve clearance and it ran smooth for about 30 secs and started knocking again i'm pretty sure i bent a valve so I'm thinking of just buying a rebuilt head any other suggestions?

You may want to do a compression test to verify a bent valve but Number one cylinder comes up twice for TDC. You need to have it on the compression stoke. All the rockers should have been at rest to make the adjustment and the cam sprocket has something to indicate this also. You may want to check out the manual. You mentioned taking off tension. A bent valve normally would happened if you tighten down the rocker adjustment well beyond specs.
