Default Suspension Bushings Over 200k miles

Hey all,

My chassis has been incredibly loose, and impossible to align, and I thought that it being totalled 5 years ago had something to do with it, so I Just let it go, untill I was doing brakes and realized that all my bushings on the chassis are worn out hardcore.

$250 Later, I bought a full set of honda OEM chassis bushings (Every single Bushing in the chassis) And I have only had time to get the fronts installed. I have about 20k on the front end after rebuilding it, and I tell you it makes it ride like brand new!!

Next up is the rear within the next few weeks, I can't wait.

For anyone with an older accord with more than 200k miles on their car, I'd highly recommend checking those bushings, hitting a bump around a turn makes my back end wobble all round.. I went with OEM because they are cheaper than the local parts store, and I get to keep my factory ride.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

Hey bud,

I used this website, and their lillustrations to order all the bushings peice by peice. I did two orders, so all together it might be cheaper, there's just abunch of $5-9 bushings that all add up to quite a bit, If I have time I'll find my order and post up how much of each part you need for the entire chassis from Honda Dealers.

Brendan.

Are you still looking for bushings? My car is wrecked, so I will not be needing to install all the rear bushings I haven't had a chance to install

Here was the order for the rear bushings, I have them all here sitting in the box they came in [&o]

From Majestic Honda in Rhode Island:

Product Number Description Quantity Unit Price Total Price
52365-SM4-004 BUSH A, RR. ARM (LOWER) (YAMA****A) (2) @ $9.61 $19.22
52366-SM4-004 BUSH AD, RR. ARM (2) @ $9.61 $19.22
52367-SM4-004 BUSH B, RR. ARM (2) @ $9.61 $19.22
52368-SM4-004 BUSH BD, RR. ARM (2) @ $9.61 $19.22
52622-SM4-003 BUSH, RR. (LOWER) (2) @ $12.93 $25.86

Subtotal $102.74
Sales Tax $0.00
Shipping Charge $13.87
Handling Charge $4.95
TOTAL $121.56

Does anyone want to make me an offer for these? It's too late to return these, so I'd be happy to send them to anyone for ~$100 shipped, but someone make me an offer!

These are all the control arm and shock bushings for both sides of the rear of a 1990-1993 Honda Accord.

Thanks,
Brendan

Yes these are for the rear only. I just installed the $110 worth of bushings on the front before totalling the car. There are 10 bushings total. Two control arms on each side, two per control arm. and then there is one bushing on each spindle, for the shock to attach to.

When I did the front, I had removed the lower control arms myself, and had a shop remove them and press the new ones in, he charged me $15 per control arm. It's honestly pretty easy pulling this apart, as it's just a matter of removing a couple bolts per side, Takes me about 3 beers per side, spread across two days to make it less tedious.

I doubt these are going anywhere anytime soon. It's just a matter of someone that needs them for a high miles car and is tired of a jiggly rear end around turns. I am super **** about these things, which is why I bought them all in the first place.

To make it worth it for you, I'll give them to you for $80 shipped to wherever you want. that's $40 off what you'd pay if you bought them from the same place I did. If you were to get them from your local dealer it would be about double that probably.

I attached a picture, I also have two rear wheel bearings for the same model car, NTN bearings - Same as what came factory on my car. $150 for the pair.

Tell me what you think, Please PM me if you're still interested, as this is not a classified section - Sorry Mods!!

Brendan.

worn out rubber parts do far more to mess up your allignment than anything else short of bent suspension peices........a lot of people usually replace the rubber with polyurethane because it is siffer and does not wear out as fast as the rubber parts do.

downside is that they squeak if you do not install them with some sort of lithium or titanium grease....
