00' Accord Rim Question
I have a silver 2000 accord coupe, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what rims i could fit in the wheel well without sacrificing much of the new tires side wall to maintain the grip i have on the road. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Heres an idea of the kind of rim i'm looking at:

RE: 00' Accord Rim Question
Anything up to 18" will fit fine... The tread on the tire grips the road, so the only thing you need to worry about with less sidewall is ride quality. It's bound to get worse. The number and type of belts in the sidewall will tell you how stiff it is. My tires have 3 poly belts. Very stiff.

RE: 00' Accord Rim Question
Of course the lower profile the tire, the more ride smoothness you sacrifice. 18's will be fine but you will feel more bumps in the road. It will look better with 18's than with 17's though

RE: 00' Accord Rim Question
Sure will. 2 inches is pushing it... I'd be a little sketchy and double check fitment before lowering it that far. On the other hand, if you use a coilover system and 2 inches is too far, you can just raise it up until it looks and fits good.
