So I just bought my 2005 Saphire Blue Accord in February.. it's a V6 EX-L. So far i'm lovinggg it. So here I am, joining this Forum!!

Anyways, I don't know much about the body of these cars (only the few that I shopped around for) andafter I bought it I started to notice thatthe fewother EX-L's that i've seen don't have the same bumper and side skirts that mine does... so now i'm wondering if a bodykit was put on the car, or is it just another stock feature that was added to this EX-L..the car also came with tints, which can sometimes go hand and hand with a kit i guess.

I'm not familiar yet with all the different Accord features, but at first impression you wouldn't even think it had a kit--It looks stock!

So, I just wanted some opinions from the Honda gurus! Does my car I just bought infact have a body kit?? Check out the pics!! I appreciate the input!!!

lol thats not the stock body dude...my guess is either A. they repo'd it off someone on verge of tuning up that car or B. someone traded it in and didn't give 2 ****'s about the trade in value they'd get on it...

 

The funny thingit looks to me like the owner beforeit took very good care of it..the engine is absolutely immaculate, it practically looks like its never been driven.
A kits fine with me, I normally am not a fan of body kitbecause all i can relate that too is ricers! lol..even if it is a kit still makes the car unique, (even if i wasn't the one that put it on!!)

I got the car from this little dealership.. he had like 50 cars on the lot.
I had originally seen my accord listed a month or so ago for 17.995. I continued looking around, and a few weeks later i came across the same ad and the guy had dropped the price to 14,995! All he said about it was he had it on the lot for 30 days, and he wanted to keep the inventory moving.. I traded in my 2001 eclipse gt (don't ever buy one, it was a piece of s***!!!!) for 5300... and in the end i paid about 10,200 for the car. The kbb for the car with all the options it has in it (it has eveythinggg heated leather, premium sound..the works) was around 19k.. i got a greatt deal on it. And obviously at the time i didn't even realize it had the kit on it.. i guess i did make out!! Hope the previous owner wasn't some young kid lol--but like i said before the engine is absolutely immaculate so it looks to me like it had a mature previous owner.. haha.

 

The body kit looks stock Honda to me. It was one of the factory options in '05.....

i dont know much about the accords yet since im new with my accord but that looks like the oem lip kit you can get? i think they came with the 6mt accords? again im not sure but i do notice seeing that lip kit on all the pics of 6mt accords i see
