believe it or not i did a little research on that generation and it turns out that was one of the options when it first came out. basically you could put the body kit for extra money...so TECHNICALLY its not a body kit BUT IN A WAY it is..

 

well thats pretty interesting...i've had the car for alittle over 2 weeks nowand i haven't seen one car that looks anything like mine..so i guess that means if that is the case, it was a pretty rare option? I love the way it looks, and I'm happy with it--i'd rather the car not look like everyone elses!! Where did you get that info? I'd like to read about it if you can remember where you saw it

 

well actually if you go on honda.com you'll see that all of their cars have the options of customizing your cars appearance to add a skirt,a rear bumper and front bumper.so its common sense but they charge an arm and leg for it!like the standard civic is like 18000 with the kit it would jump to like 21000 so it could be why you barely see it but go on google and type in 7th generation accord factory body kit or 7th generation accord factory kit or something like that i can't remember exactly what i wrote..but if you go to honda.com you'll see a HUGE similiarity to your body kit but its a nice body kit

 

yeah that is the factory honda lip kit on it. it was an option that people could choose in order to make it more sporty. but the car looks great and congrats on the amazing price u paid for it. im jealous i paid 14k for my 02 like 2 years ago lol

 

thanks! I love it --and it was a great deal I couldn't pass up. I'd prefer it to be a factory kit, so that's good news to me. I'll definitely check out the honda website though.
