Thanks for the heads up..
was reading and looking at videos that they are far safer then regular 3 point harness if used as intended too...
like schroth asm ones..they more safer when crashed in a head on collision you will have less head trauma and bouce a lil more less den a 3 point standarn that we have..
but since u have them are dey really that uncomforble of a hassle to put them on..
can u tell me some plus and minus in ur experiences u have right now..thanks

I ran NRG 4point harnesses for a while. They are cheap and the quality reflects it. They say the ones that mount to the rear passenger lap belt points are dangerous because if you crash it puts pressure down on your back.
I currently have a G-Force Racing 5 point harness.
The pluses:
holds you in your seat
looks cool lol
The minuses:
Takes time to put on
hard to check your blind spot when merging lanes(this is the biggest minus). When I'm on the interstate I usually take it off.
Passengers hate wearing them(I keep the stock passenger seat belt in as well.)

hahaha looks cool..
yea i love that part...
yea i was looking at schroth asm..
which have the anti submarining (if that how u spell it) system...
which dey do keep the pressyre away from your torso..that way you dont have no intestine or stomach trauma..
but yea i want to do that on my car just put the driver side one..
thanks live2rice appreciate the help and info..
so is it worth putting the harness...
5 point harness do i have to get a racing seat..
i like do i have to change nrg seats out?
another question..on a 4point rollcage can i still use the back seat..
more for safety feature den anything...

You don't need racing seats for 5 point harnesses, granted most people dont want them because the fifth point is the crotch belt lol.
As for the roll bar it really depends what one. If you just get a plain and simple roll bar then you could still have use of your back seat. If you get one with a harness bar and crossbrace than no passengers would want to spend 20min climbing into your back seat.

With what you were asking about back problems. The restraints coming off the shoulders to the bar have to be parallel with the floor boards. If they are on too much of a downward angle they can compress the spine in a collision. SO you cant mount them to like the floor which ive seen. And they have to be mounted fairly close to the seat otherwise the nylon will stretch too far. I had to ask my brother about this when i did a 4 point harness in my Mustang. Hes got a degree in racing haha. I know when it comes to safety restraints you dont often get a second chance on it.
