Hey everyone , I'm new here and have a 2003 accord coupe. I was wanting to do my headlights like this but do ya'll think this is a film inside the headlight or paint? All info is appreciated.

im really not sure but that looks like you can do that with film (from the outside)
yellow film on ebay

 

paint on the inside, im in the process of doing it myself, cept im painting black

 

oh wait i didnt even notice that the housing was painted i only saw the yellow

well like fenix said paint the inside

 

So you just paint the chrome around and behind the bulb yellow or the lense or what? Thanks.

 

clear up what youre asking a little the blue part looks like painted housing the yellow part looks like film over the headlight and im not sure if the reflector is yellow or it just looks that way

 

O.k., I want to know how to make my headlights have the yellow that is in the picture. I'm not sure if he took the headlamp assembly apart and (a) painted the chrome/reflectors/housing around the high beam bulb yellow, (b) put yellow film on the inside of the lens in front of the high beam bulb, (c) put yellow film on the high beam bulb chrome/reflector/housing, (d) unknown.

So if any of you know what this guy did please let me know. Also include brand film or paint if you have experience. If it is paint how do you apply? i.e. sand, prime, all in one ?

sorry for all the confusing cause we noticed that he also painted his housing along with the yellow

now that i think about at that angle its kinda hard to tell because you can use the yellow film over the high beam on the outside but if you look at the headlight with the film at an angle youll just look under the film

hard to explain but do you kinda get where im tryin to get at?

 

Yea. I didnt think it was film on the lens for that reason, but I cant tell if he painted the housing surrounding the high beam or if he put film around the housing? Is it possible to paint around the high beam and the light still be functional?

 

well if you can find a transparent yellow like that im pretty sure you can. just open up the headlight carefully tape everything you dont want to paint and lightly paint the transparent yellow on
