9006 Bulb Replacement, options??
-Looking to replace my accords low beams. bulb number-9006
-look for a more euro or HID look
yes I know you can not attain that look without actually converting.
-I do know that there are many brands that achieve the "look" but the bulbs to not light up the road well.
-Does anyone know of any bulbs that don't have that yellow stock look, but still function by lighting up the road?
-using silverstar ultras now, they are ok.
-I have heard of luminacs and piaa.
- THis is my first post, I think I followed all the rules, please tell me if I didn't !
Thanks

You can get a real HID kit with 9006 bulbs for less then $50
I think I paid $35 for my last kit.
That would be the best way, all the bulbs with coatings on them to make them look like HID's are much dimmer than stock bulbs - not a good quality for headlights.

While they are "illegal" in most places most police departments/officers don't know the difference.
I personally have put them in 3 of my cars and had them in countless states and never had an issue, including passing inspection. This includes Massachusetts, perhaps the most strict state with any car modifications.

OK, no it's not. But from what I know about Hid, you get what you pay for; so i would buy the cheapest set. I also hear bad things, like melting, blinding other people etc... But thank you guys for your input. Much Appreciated.

Not really
I have used around 7-10 cheap kits from ebay over the years.
I had only 1 ballast burn out and was replaced for free from the seller.
Right now I am running cheap ebay kits in my Accord, Sidekick, and 2 motorcycles as well as 2 of my friends that I bought kits for - all of them work great.

I used to have a friend that once put in $3 ballasts on sale, apparently at walmart.. many years ago.. those things lasted, he moved away about a year after putting them in his car.. so, I know those things lasted at least about an year.. never heard from him after.. point is, if you is a fortunate homie, then you're good.. they'll last.. if not get xentec HIDs for like 20 bucks or 25 and you're good to go..
