After doing some more research, I've heard that having HID bulbs in OEM housing looks bad. Apparently it doesn't focus or "project" the HIDs correctly unless you get actual HID projector housings. I think I'm gonna wait and get the hid kit after I get some projector housings. What do you guys think?

I installed the ebay JDM projector housings on my Honda with HIDs and yes suprisingly they are less bright than when I had Just Hid's in the stock housings.

OP - If your stock housings are still in good shape I would recommend any $40 - $50 HID kit on ebay and if you want to change the look you can swap out the corner lights for either clear or something else.

Not only will this be the cheaper route, it will also be much brighter than stock

If you want a blue-ish hue get 8,000K bulbs

I think we already gave you an answer about that.
But I guess you talked to someone who read something once on the internet and is now repeating it to you.

2 people here who have experience with using HIDs in both stock housings and aftermarket projector housings have told you they are better in the stock housings.

I appreciate the input but I'm just afraid of being ticketed for HIDs. I've never been pulled over before and I'm not about to start now lol. I've heard people say that HIDs in stock housings easily blind other drivers because they are not focused. That's what I'm worried about.
