I just bought a '99 EX-V6 - everything on it is great but the emblems on the hood and trunk are GOLD! It wouldn't be so bad, but the gold electroplate is rubbing off and it looks like garbage.

1. Can I redo the gold in anyway without removing them from the car? Could I rub the gold off the embelms and take them down to silver or are they just plastic under the gold?

2. Where can I buy OEM Honda emblems that would fit that car and how much could I expect to pay for them and how hard would it be to change them out myself?
