Default custom fabricating my headlights

rather than pay around $250 for new jdm black housing style headlights, i've decided i'm going to make them myself with the lights i already have.

i plan on painting all the chrome inside the housing flat black, with the exception of the back mirroring and the actual headlight that "hovers" in the center

does anyone have any tips on how to get the "hovering" part out of the headlight so it is easier to paint, and also any tips on how to paint these in a neat and professional way? i've done some painting but still am not too seasoned

thanks

and i have a 97 lx btw

I believe that if you do a search engine we have here in the forums, that you might find a write up on that subject..
