Some people will tell u plug and play kits are illegal and bla bla bla, which they technically are if you want to get fancy but no one's getting technical. The main thing cops will pull you over for is excessive glare in OEM housings. Some guys try to be cool and buy 55w kits and slap them in OEM housings which result in HORRIBLE GLARE. That causes a major safety issue. I have 6000k which is brighter than 8000k and I haven't gotten pulled over or flashed. Point is, don't be an a-hole on the street especially when driving with HIDs in OEM housings. You'll get noticed much quicker. Lol they are illegal in OEM housings but take the chance like I did =]

Stay with the 35 watts to be safe. I can see those 55's and they are too bright.
6000 and 8000k will be fine. I pass NY Troopers all the time- no problem.
