Default Headlight HID kit question!

So I'm wanting to upgrade my 96 honda accord LX's headlights to HID's. But im trying to take the cheap route. So would it be effective to just buy aftermarket headlights with HID's already installed (price range of about 190$). Or would it be better to buy some nice 80$ headlights and then installing a HID kit in the headlights? Another question I have is, how do I know what headlights I can convert to HID's? Not very familiar or educated on HID's so some help would be great.

For example: Could I buy these headlights: 94-96 97 HONDA ACCORD JDM BLACK HEADLIGHT+AMBER CORNER | eBay

And then install a 40$ HID kit in them?? Would the lights work properly in the headlights? Or would it just be a better idea to buy a headlight with HID's pre-installed?

Thanks for your help

I would just paint your stock housings if thats the look you are going for. and unless you get all of the reflection and cut-off pieces and do a complete retrofit I wouldnt expect a huge inprovement over good halogens. grab some projectors from a tsx (they are sexy) and do a retrofit and you will have some very bright headlights that dont blind everyone on the other side of the road causing them to go blind and hit you...not really but stock housings will blind others (inproper light cut-off) and dont look that great.
