Experience. I know when I see it. The majority of HIDs I see driving around are 4300 - 6000K, but I see a 10000K civic or escalade driving around once in a while.

Lol no you can't tell the color when it is unlit, you weren't and never are very clear. And yes when I'm driving I can call out that cat's got 10k, and this cat got a 8k kit. What does knowing the color of an unlit bulb have anythign to do with this? When buying HIDs your taking the sellers word it's that color and there is no way to know until you see them lit. You can only know what color they are if you uhhh see the color... I'm not posting here in this thread or any others of yours. You obviously can't appreciate the information I have to offer you, so why should I give you the privilege?

You can make a pretty good educated guess... and they get bluer, then purpler the higher K you go.... not that hard.

3000, 4300, 5000, 6000, 8000, 10000, 12000, 14000....

it was never said that you have to pretty much jus guess at it...all u said was u jus knew..u cud jus tell..well im askin u...like how can u tell?..whats the lil technique u use and u jus down me for bein what i stated again obviously in the subject....finch knew it and kept his koo about it....u on the other hand yea...u was iight cuz u been givin me good advice for the longest...[[hints the kicker sub]] but its like now...u just got fed up with tellin me whats really good...i said imma newb did i not??...now if i said i was a know it all and i jus acted like i knew everything then i see how u cud be mad...but no...i told u...IMMA NEWB!!!
