Around 6000K on older (pre-2005 or so) and now it seems more like 8000K. No car company is going to put in anything higher than that because the light output goes down pretty far after 6000K. 4300K is brightest.
And besides getting HID for a "purple" look is by far one of teh worst reasons unless you do shows or something. I got mine to seen better, having an amazing bluish white color is simplya bonus on the side.

yea t00fatt actually ur right...thats kinda wat i was talkin about....but preciate the BMW info cuz i kinda always wanted to know that...and ohh Acura?? they have some nice ones also....they use about the same lighting as BMW??
