Seems to me your answer is in your question... Spend the $60 on a DDM tuning kit, if you don't have the money just wait and save. I'm sure you can scrounge up an extra $30 in a week or two. In the end it will be worth it.

x2 on saving up. I have seen some very poorly made Chinese knock off HID kits. I would never buy a HID kit off ebay or anything, especially with how affordable they have gotten these days.

Yea not even four years ago a quality kit was $400 to $500, and they weren't even digital I don't think.

yeah just in the past year or so prices have come down drastically. I ordered my original 5000K low beams from DDM tuning just about a year ago and it was like $175, now the same kit can be had for $75 shipped.

They are so cheap now I'm almost thinking about getting fogs, but I can think of so many other things I would rather spend that money on. The appearance of my overall not very attractive car doesn't matter to me. If I were driving a new CTS that wouldn't be the case. But what I love about my car is the drivetrain and the price I got her for.

Lol does a S550 work for you? If I had the choice I'd take the S550 over a CTS-V. I love me an S-Class. CTS is just fresh in my mind as I drove one the other day, my neighbor got one of the new ones.
