I'm considering upgrading the bulbs in my coupe to HIDs, but I have a couple of questions. Is it easy to upgrade the ballast and bulbs yourself and is there a tutorial for it? And which manufacturer do you guys recommend? I've done a search on here and found mentions of DDM mostly, but wanted more input.

I have had 4 or 5 ddm tuning kits now in various cars and have only had 1 ballast burn out(after a couple of years). The prices now are so dirt cheap you really can't complain. The last I saw DDM tuning had them for like $30, thats not much more than regular bulbs cost.

Its easy to install yourself, pretty much just plug and play.

 

Great, thanks. I had a Celica before the Accord and I know the ballast and bulbs were somewhat a PITA to change because of the location and small engine bay.
