ok, looking into putting in some HID's for her low beams. it should be plug and play right? i guess i will find out later next month. if anybody has any experience with this let me know please. if not ill post up some results and what not

If the low beams are not projector style headlights you'll be blinding everybody. If they are projector style it will be alot better, but not the best because they are designed for halogen bulbs which have different light output characteristics.

On some Hondas, like my 5th gen Accord, Honda has the headlight wiring plugs backwards from the way 99% of other car makers have it so you have to flip the plug on the hid kits. However, I don't think thats the case on the new Accords.

 

"plug and play" is not totally accurate. You're adding a ballast for the HID lamps, so you'll need to find a suitable location for each ballast, and carefully route the wiring from the ballast to the new lamps.

 

Well technically it is simply plug and play.

However, use ONLY 3M double sided sticky tape if that is the method you plan on using to mount your ballasts. The running of wires should be fine in any place as long as they cannot get caught in any moving parts.

 

well, a friend of mine has a set and i was just wondering if there were any resisters needed for them...i know the dodge trucks have issues doing it sometimes. as for the projector thing, i am looking into it, but just need to convince her that it would be worth it.

 

Well i think you really might need to get resistors for the newer models. I def recommend DDMtuning best kits out there

 

I have them on my girls 08 accord and they are plug and play like others said. Also even though they are not projectors you are not blinding everyone like someone said. they have a decent cut off. There is some weird lighting above the cut off but its not enough to blind people. Also for you to install them you will have to remove the whole front bumper cover. Remove all the clips under the hood holding the bumper and grill to the car. Then remove the phillips screw holding it right at the wheelwells. Remove all the clips under the car and pull on the bumper. It clips under the headlights and pulls out. Once off there are 3 bolts that hold the headlights on. Remove and install.
