Default HID upgrade question

Hello everyone. Just bought my first honda the other day. Its an accord lx with a 5 speed manual trans. I'm thinking about upgrading my lights but Ihave some questions. How hard is the installation? Is this something that your average joe can do? Alittle description would help me a lot.

The kit that I found is from plasmagarage.com. Its a 9006 - xenon hid conversion kit. I'm seeing these other kits but the only difference is 9005, h11, h7, h1.... Whats the difference? They are asking for $219. Is that a good price?

I read somewhere that you will loose your high beam. Is that true? How big is the difference between the upgraded lights and my stock ones? Cheers!!!

the price is fairly high. look for electronic ballasts and a battery relay kit so that the power spike on turn-on doesn't burn out the headlight switch.

x2 on digital electronic ballasts. DDM Tuning offers their with delay-ignite, so one bulbs ignites after the other to reduce the voltage spike.

9005 h11 etc etc is the bulb size, you will have to figure out what bulbsize your car is as i dont know off the top of my head, sylvania has a thing on their website that will tell you, or i'm sure someone on here knows.

you wont lose your high beam as they are two separete bulbs, and the HID will only replace the low beam. unless on the new accord they have bi-beam bulbs, but i doubt it, but once again someone on here could probably tell you that, as i dont own a newer accord
