Honda Accord Taillight blackouts.
So I just got my new BLACKMON tail light blackout kit off of ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...CA:MOTORS:1123 ) installed today on my 94 accord. And they are the sh---t! I had GTS covers years ago on an older car and one set blew off going down the road and the others made me get pulled by the cops all the time. These are cool cause the lights shine threw but when not they look blacked out. Me and friend installed and they custom molded to my lights. How they look? I think i may order another set for the front to cover my clear turn signals. Will post front pics if I do. They are universal so going to get a set for my F150 next.

So what exactly is this? it's not the film, not the spray, not the covers, so what type of material are these things? I followed the link and unless I am missing something, the description didnt say either
I asked because I am curious. I almost went with the film, but after reading about the liability if someone rear-ends you I decided rockin stock is not a bad idea (least for now)

They are covers... It says it in the headline of the ebay page... As long the transition between brake light on and off is visible up to 500 ft, you are not liable if some jackass rearends you... Just hope they have insurance.l..

Very true, my father is batling that right now. He was hit by an uninsured motorist. Crazy, I never knew until now that your insurance company ends up paying (or not paying) So he is fighting his insurance company for the damage caused by some idiot.

Yah, Some uninsured mexican in a mini-van, backed onto my vette at a stoplight one time... Tore my front clip all up and the insurance company didnt wanna fix it... I was so pissed... The stupid lady had no license, no insurance, and couldnt speak english, and still got to drive off with no ticket...FTW!!!

Jeez, that's rough.....here in Jersey they just enacted a new law. They can tow your car if you are missing any single piece of documentation even if you are acually insured, have a DL, ect. You will then need to bring them to court to prove. Good part is that it's up to the officer's discretion, good thing because I was pulled over once on my now sold Ducati and the cop was nice enough to believe that I had insurance even though I forgot to through it in my pocket that day.
