i was wondering if it would be better to get a fiberglass or a carbon fiber hood for my 91 accord. i was also wondering if i could get a trunk lid made out of fiber glass. if anyone has had either put on, just let me know which is better and/or cheaper. if there is anyone you would recommend for making me a hood or trunk lid, that would be helpful too

 

Fiberglass vs. carbon fiber depends on what you want to do, carbon fiber is lighter than fiberglass so view this like a video game do you want a stage 1 or a stage 2 weight reduction kit? Stage 1, fiberglass hood and trunk, Step 2 Carbon Fiber Hood/Trunk they typically make them in both styles... Something else to keep in mind is that you can paint the fiberglass to match your car, the carbon fiber is great weight reduction so painting it kind of kills the point (in my opinion)

unfortunatly I don't know personally, I've only ever had one carbon fiber hood and that was ordered from a local shop.... I'd check out a few tuner magazine websites like hondatunning.com and such and see if you can find a recommendation from there... unless someone on here knows of a company
