Default How to black out headlights or taillights?

i was told to stick the headlight or taillight into the oven for a minute to losen the glue then i would be able to pull the two pieces apart. if anyone needs to correct this statement or tell me how long to put it in the oven and what temp or tell me another way to do this that would be great. i just bought a pair of taillights and i just wanted to experiement with doing this for fun since i got the taillights for soo cheap. any tips or pointers will be great. thanks

I've never heard of the oven style but I imagine it would work just keep it on LOW and check them every 60 seconds or so, keep a close eye on them. The safer way would be to use either a heat gun or try a hair dryer on high power. Nevermind, I guess the oven thing is common.... Here is a DIY for the headlights

I pulled those from another thread here in the forum so I take no credit for the find but it should help.
