i am going to get my car painted in the next couple of weeks and i was told i should get 4-5 coats of clear to have a factory paint job look. is that the right thing to do? i had my old car painted by earl shiebs before and the only did one coat and it looked like a spray painted car :/ and i dont want that look again

 

I would say 3-4, 5 or more is geared more towards show cars.
