so i was in a new impala the other night and the night time accent lighting is nice, 4 door handle accents, foot lighting, mid dash accents located in the ceiling, rear map lights the whole works!

i dunno but to me the interior in my 97 accord is dark and a bit boring at night, i was thinking about adding some accents in the doors, and at least ceiling, here are my ideas and questions.

door handles:
dim led for the three passenger doors, to light up behind the handle
an led to light up behind the handle, and possibly the window controls on the drivers side.
for behind the handle ill use a small piece of plexy as a cover for the led, it will be flush with the handle surroundings.
im not sure how i will light up the window controls on the drivers door yet, any ideas?
also for power, as the window switches arnt made to light up, where do you think the best place to tap power for the lights is?

for mid dash accents ill probably install them into the map light assembly, and also add in accents for the map light assembly itself, and put white led's in for the map lights.

i plan on doing a complete interior led conversion, including the cluster.

so any suggestions, or info for putting extra lighting in?

i had a jetta with windshield lighting, used 2 high power leds. it turned out pretty decent, completely lights up the windshield. from the sides all you see is blue, you stand in front and the blue light surounded the windshield. but i think thats a bit much now that i think about it.

 

Do you have any pictures of the Jetta? I've never seen that before. Sounds cool though.
