RE: light bulbs
If you want to go with high wattage halogens, I wouldn't expect a problem with the housing, but you will want upgraded connectors. The higher wattage can melt the stock plugs. HID uses less wattage hence less heat. I think that the upgraded plug are ceramic, but I'm not sure. When I had over-wattage bulbs in the stock fixtures, I used a high power relay kit .... also a good idea for this method of lighting. HID is the best way to get more light, and I have a set in the TYC projectors .... no problems. If you get an HID kit, make sure that you get the correct one. My car had 9005/9006 headlights stock, but my TYC's use H1 bulbs so I have an H1 HID setup, not 9006!
