Default Looking for an Automatic Shift ****

Hey guys I have a 96 Honda Accord LX Automatic tranny, just put in a new stereo and I may or may not have accidentally lost the spring that goes to the button on the shift **** lol. I can't find it and I need a new shift ****. On the shifter I only have openings for two screws and they're directly opposite of each other on both sides. I found a shift **** but it turned out not able to fit. I'm looking online but none of the ones I find indicate how many screw holes or location of the holes. Can anyone help?

JDM Honda Accord Automatic Shift **** Button Fit 1994 1997 LH Driver Only | eBay

Looks like you have to buy the button to get the spring.

Another option might be to go to hardware store and check their spring options. You might find one that can be trimmed (length) to fit.

good luck

Thanks Texas, I wouldn't mind replacing the button. I was hoping to find a new shift **** I'll keep looking, but I think I'll order that and put the **** back on.

I had my button break recently when I accidentally pushed and let button "pop" open. It sheared part of plastic. I reassembed w/ adhesive glue and it's holding so far. Easy job to replace button.

good luck
