Default Shift **** loose 04 automatic Help!

Hello, my shift **** is loose, but the the stick can move into D, N, D3, it is locked in P, R D1 D2. So my question is, is it normal to that shift **** can go into D,N,D3 without pushing the release button? I'm going to get it tightned just making sure those are the gears that don't lock D,N,D3

Thanks

Yep. It should not go into park or reverse or D1/D2 without pushing the button though. Might be wrong about the D1/D2 part though.

The shift lever can't really be tightened, the whole assembly is just held together with pins and C-clips. Does it need a new **** or does that need to be tightened too?
