I have an 05 coupe and it is at 36,500 miles. The damn Maint Req'd light came on and won't go off. How do I turn it off without going into the honda stealership to get it maintenanced?

Is there any way around this?

yes i believe if i remember correctly you keep the key in the on position without starting the car and hold down your trip/odometer button on the cluster for like 5 seconds or so. It is in the manual if you have one if that doesn't work let me know and I will double check my manual.

 

^^^^ Close. Hold the reset button before you turn the key to on. Don't start the engine, just turn it on while holding the button .... 5-10 seconds and the light will go out. This is in the owner's manual.

 

Not sure if this is true, I was told you can turn off the maint, light perminently so it never comes on.
