my hood and trunk are all scratched up from the car sitting there to long..so is is better for me to get it buffed or a clear coat to get the scratches off...thanks

 

Buff first and see what happens... carbon fiber has known issues of clearcoat peeling and yellowing (especially the cheaper brands), so if thats the case have the clearcoat completely removed and spray on 3-4 new coats.
