i have the OEM HU and i need info, i heard its POOP, what can i do with it or about it?

If you want to improve on the factory HU you could add something like the JL cleansweep.

bright and early i woke up to a sweet thunderstorm.

when i got up to go outside i realized i had left the passanger side window down and now the whole side is soaked... so im burning some gas with the heat blazin to try to dry it out a bit, so it doesnt smell like ...

i did look at those on crutchfield. im gonna have to look at them more, do you know if i lose the cdchanger or xm with that?

im stuck, if i go with the alpine 9884 HU its got a USB and ipod hookup, that negates the need for the changer or xm.

My JVC has USB on the front, so I just use a thumbdrive.

That cleansweep looks interesting... It looks like it only takes phono in and out, but the marketing on the page says it hooks up to your factory HU like a speaker... How is that?

 

I haven't actually used one of the cleansweep's, but it does say it will except line level input or speaker level input. Some JL audio amps come with a RCA to speaker wire plug in adapter and a switch to select which format you're using. My guess is this may be the same for the cleansweep.
