Putting a cargo net in the trunk (from my old car)

Hi there!
I took out the cargo net from the trunk of my '97 Sable, which I'm selling, because the '08 Accord doesn't have one. I also took the hooks that hold the net in place - they were attached to the trunk via self-tapping metal screws.
My plan is to drill a couple of small holes in the rear part of the trunk, then simply screw the hooks in place and hang the cargo net from them.
I don't know if the Sable has something inside that holds the screws in place.
For me this is a cheap solution for a cargo net, as the Accord is company car; I'm allowed to buy any accessory I want but the company isn't paying, and the cargo net isn't cheap.
BTW I got me two grocery bag hooks from the dealer the other day, as I got tired of having stuff getting out of the bags, and then bouncing all over the trunk. The hooks are fine but it's not advisable to hang anything from them, unless the bag is tall enough to reach all the way down to the floor of the trunk.
