What happens when you exceed the cargo weight?
The maximum cargo/passenger weight for the Accord is 850 lb. I had passenger weight totaling 1200 lb. Will this cause any damage to my car? I drove around for about 20 minute with 1200 lb passenger weight. Max speed i went was 45 mph.
if you havent noticed anything yet you probably wont, its possible you wore your sturts, you could have also blown out your tires if they werent rated for the weight.
I have some more info if it'll help. I only drove 3 miles with the 1200 lb passenger weight. Also, the AC was on too. What do you mean by "wore your struts"? I think the time I drove my car was maybe about 10 min, not 20 min. Also, what kind of possible signs should I look out for to know I might have a problem?
you'll get a bumpier ride..well i think what he means by "you wore your struts" is that you pushed it to the limit that time and lets say it was gonna go bad if it achieves 100k miles if you worn it out maybe it would only go 70k miles...get my point??
yeah and good thing you didnt blow out ur tires...there is also a rating as to how much load the tires can handle...not just the car itself...

Im sure your fine. If you go longer distances you could heat up the brake pads and drive train. And as stated above suspension parts could be affected. Your car can actually handle more then what is specified.
yeah i mean if nothing noticeable happened than your fine, i'm just saying what could have happened/long term things.
she must have been a low ride for those 10min tho

Unless you went over railroad tracks or a speed bump at high speed, you probably didn't damage the struts. That's what the bumpstops are for!
