it possible to remove tint? can tint shops do it? i have this shiney aftermarket tint that came on my car when i bought it...id rather have some dark black tint...any ideas?

A tint shop could do that. i had the same situation when i purchased my car. they charged me a little extra because they had to take the old tint off and then put new and darker tint on for me.

You can do it yourself if you feel like saving a lil money... razor blade and glass cleaner... just be real careful around the black edges of the window and be sure to keep the glass wet at all times... usually if you peel off a lil corner u can just pull it off in one big sheet leaving only the sticky stuff behind... i just went through the same thing on my 97 ... i did all the side windows but im taking it to the shop for the back window im nervous about messing up the heating element in the rear... good luck hope this helps.

hey you should not have any problem doing it yourself since they charge you to much for something you can do. you can go to stores like walmart and auto zone and they have some stuff for taking it off, just watch when you talking it off the back window if you have rear def in the glass. good luck...
