Guys,
I bought this car used as a certified used car, and noticed during the first hand wash that some of the paint on the rims is coming off. (all 4 wheels)

I can scrape it off with my fingernail, but it first came off with a wash mit!

I'm sure its paint because when you scrape it off with your fingernail, you can see the silver in it.

Does this mean these rims were damanged and repaired? or does this just happen? (warranty?)

I can try to get some pics if it would help, but I don't have a camera handy right now.

 

A certified used car means just that..warranty is what is printed on your warranty if you even have one..Do You?

 

Yes I have warranty through next year on the limited bumper to bumper, and through 2014 on the powertrain.

Its the honda certified warranty through honda itself, but I read through it and it does excludes paint.

I am not sure it its actually the paint coming off or just some layer of grime, its kinda sticky and darker than you would expect the paint to be. Still don't have a camera handy... maybe tonight.
