sob story
Ok, so about a year ago i met this chick who drove a 350z. Well come February we are drivin down the interstate when she slams into the back of an F150. totals the 350z. Those of you who are true Honda enthusiast couldn't give a damn about the nissan right? good, cuz her freaking hood and fender freakin flung off, as well as the spare tire from the truck, and riddled the side of my, until that point in time, flawless 2005 honda accord with dents, gouges, and scratchs. So any of the members in this forum that have seen a picture of my car in the last 4 months have noticed they only cover the passenger side, "my good side". Well i put the claim into the insurance company... no luck. They claimed we were racing. Not covered under insurance. I hate that little lizard at geico. what a crook. So now... four months later... it's finally in the body shop. Getting the door repainted and the bumber replaced. And just as a kicker... what does the girl drive now? a 2006 honda civic
they claimed you were racing?? what did they base that off of? Point # 2: when dealing with insurance companies say as little as humanly possible. You were driving down the interstate behind a car that hit another car and it messed up the side of yours. Do you know this person? sure I've met them but I was just heading to XYZ and I have no idea how it happened...
Whenever I've dealt with insurance companies (more times than I'd like to admit I've had to...) I say almost nothing. "my car got wrecked" "how'd it happen?" "Some car in front of me hit another vehicle and the parts came off the car and shreded the side of mine"...

you need to change companies asap. Unless they have a police report, they cannot state what they "Think" may have happened. Also you need to talk to your insurance agenet and also file a claim with the State DA office and the State Insurnace Inspector office.
Yeah, thats ridiculous. How can they assume you were racing and decide not to pay without any sort of proof/documentation? They probably only saw a 350z and a good looking accord and thats all they needed to start making stupid assumptions.
I'd give them one more chance to pay up, perhaps even voice your intentions to go further with it if they don't, and if they still try to stick it to you put your game face on. Either way I would change insurance companies immediately after it's settled. Best of luck.
