20% is what i have. I have a silver CG and haven't had any problems yet. It takes a bit getting used to from the inside to look out at night time but I adapted quick. Privacy is real good with the 20% in the daytime and it's pitch black at night.

I could never drive a car with lighter than 15%s, but 5%s are on the too dark side. The 0%s I had on my last car was not a good idea.


EDIT: I've got 10%s now and feel like they are perfect if you don't want to be bale to see in and still be able to see out at night. Tinting the windshield is another bad idea, unless it's that clear or really light 100% UV blocking tint

New question. the guy istalling it for me only gets regular tint by the 100 foot roll and i was told to look for the 3m stuff to prevent it turning purple. Was i told right of should i just get regular stuff. ( the tint guys pushin the regular stuff )

Take it to a new shop. All tint shops should have a color guarantee on the film and a lifetime warranty against bubbling.

dunno bout anyother gens but i know on the 7th you need to get "felt" on the moldding so it doesnt scratch the tint mine was only 5 bucks and no scratchs after bout a year.
